Re:Materialize Consumer Technology & High-Value Residential Property Material Aesthetics Trend Exhibitions Debut at Design Shenzhen 2025

Re:Materialize advocates for a material-driven approach in the early stages of design, emphasising a “materials-first” philosophy. Through the aesthetic reinterpretation and innovative application of materials, it encourages designers to explore the essence and potential of materials, promoting sustainable and creative material design practices.

Jointly initiated by Róng Design Library and Design Shanghai, the Re:Materialize Material Aesthetics Trend Exhibition returned to Design Shenzhen 2025 with two themed showcases — the Re:Materialize Consumer Technology · Material Aesthetics Trend Exhibition and the Re:Materialize High-Value Residential Property · Material Aesthetics Trend Exhibition.

Re:Materialize Consumer Technology · Material Aesthetics Trend Exhibition: Centred on the three core themes of the Róng Design Library 2025/26 Material Trend Report, this exhibition invited five groups of interdisciplinary designers, six traditional craftsmanship representatives, and eight outstanding brands from various industrial and technological material fields to engage in cross-boundary material innovation.

ReMaterialize

Re:Materialize High-Value Residential Property · Material Aesthetics Trend Exhibition: Taking the “6E Value Prism” methodology developed by the Matrix Research Institute as its foundation, this exhibition mapped the aesthetic, functional, and emotional needs of high-end residential spaces to three major future trends: “Ephemeral Delight,” “Future Sanctuary,” and “Balanced Coexistence.” Within this framework, the research identified six measurable value dimensions, which were then distilled into three future-oriented material directions — “Joyful Diversity,” “Rooted Memories,” and “Evolving Inheritance.”

ReMaterialize

This was not merely an exhibition, but a forward-thinking exploration of what materials will define the next chapter of modern living. Re:Materialize offered both design professionals and the public a glimpse into the evolving relationship between materials, innovation, and lifestyle, inspiring new ideas for future interiors, furnishings, and technologies.
