Listening to the “Breath” of Space at Design Shenzhen

Design Shenzhen joins hands with DavidHugh to present a special feature — the WELLCONNECT Health Technology Exhibition.Derived from Wellbeing and Connection, WELLCONNECT aims to awaken public awareness of holistic health while creating a cross-disciplinary innovation platform for brands, designers, and consumers. The initiative explores sustainable and actionable pathways towards a healthier lifestyle of the future.

In 2025, WELLCONNECT, co-initiated by Design Shenzhen and DavidHugh, is presented under the theme WELLCONNECT Hub. The central installation — “The House That Breathes” — is conceived by designer Jianxun Yang, Director of SIID Shenzhen and former co-founder of Super Normal Studio. This distinctive space takes light as the eye of technology and breath as the rhythm of life, simulating natural breathing patterns and dynamic light shifts to express a new symbiosis between technology and vitality.

Within “The House That Breathes”, visitors are invited to participate in wellness practices such as sound bowl sessions and meditation, experience cutting-edge research outcomes from leading wellness brands, and engage in meaningful dialogues with experts and scholars to explore new directions for healthy living.
