)
The Foshan satellite event of Design Shenzhen, co-hosted by Design Shenzhen and Masanori Designs, successfully concluded on the afternoon of July 10th. The event gathered over 40 prominent designers and representatives from the home furnishing and building materials sector across Foshan, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. Focused on luxury property design, the discussions fostered deep integration between creative design and industry resources.
The event commenced with Xu Qingliang, founder of Masanori Designs, sharing insights from curating the "Floating Island Habitat" exhibition at June's Design Shanghai fair. This collaborative project with five home furnishing brands successfully balanced individual brand expression with cohesive synergy under a sustainable framework, pioneering a new model for design communication and brand empowerment. Raymond Wang, Project Manager of Design Shenzhen, then introduced the exhibition. As an emerging design exhibition brand under Clarion Events in the Greater Bay Area, Design Shenzhen actively encourages participation from Foshan's design community and local premium product resources to drive industry collaboration.
The thematic presentations offered rich perspectives: Han Jianqian, Co-founder of Youfan Innovation & Research Design, analyzed case studies on leveraging social media for targeted communication and value articulation in luxury property design. Lu Weijian, Co-founder of Foshan JisheYanZao Design, highlighted the pivotal role of windows in optimizing natural light, ventilation, and framing scenic views within spatial design. Lv Yuanliang, Co-founder of 301 DESIGN INSTITUTE, emphasized human-centric approaches, sharing strategies for discerning homeowner emotions and planning versatile functional spaces to enhance the humanistic warmth of luxury residences.
A panel discussion on "Private Art Curation in Luxury Property Design" sparked diverse ideas. Designers from the 70s, 80s, and 90s generations, alongside industry representatives, blended creative viewpoints with practical industry experience. The vibrant exchange continued during the networking tea break and extended into the evening, effectively breaking down barriers between design and industry and laying groundwork for future partnerships.
This event not only infused fresh inspiration into luxury property design but also established a vital synergy bridge between creative design and industry resources, contributing significantly to the high-quality development of the design and home furnishing sectors within the Greater Bay Area.
