Totti Chen
Ruokun Chen is the founder, director, and producer of Digital FUN, an interactive visual arts studio (www.digitalfun.ca) in Shanghai. He is also the founder of the China TEA New Media Education Community (www.tea-community.com), a distinguished instructor in the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, a member of the Shenzhen Expert Talent Federation, and a committee member of the China Illuminating Engineering Society. As an educational partner of TouchDesigner's parent company, Derivative, and a global community and technology partner of the Canadian light and art team, Moment Factory, Ruokun has established himself as a leading figure in both the commercial and academic sectors.
In the commercial realm, Ruokun has led Digital FUN in customizing unique creative immersive experience plans for over thirty large-scale product launches, brand events, and performances. These plans include visual effects design, interactive technology development, music production, and direction. His clientele encompasses prestigious brands such as Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Adidas, lululemon, Audemars Piguet, and Shiseido.
Academically, Ruokun serves as a supervisor and visiting faculty at several top universities, including Huazhong University of Science and Technology, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Xiamen University, Tongji University, and Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. He is also the author of the professional Chinese bestseller and university textbook "TouchDesigner — A New Design and Development Platform." Since 2018, Ruokun has continuously served for six years as the general producer of the "Light Dot - International New Media Art Festival" and has been awarded the Golden Prize in the "Voice of Shaocheng" Performance Art Competition launched by the Beijing Contemporary Art Foundation.
