Ji Gan is a Senior Project Director and architect at international design collective RIOS. He approaches design as a cultural bridge, weaving functionality with aesthetic narratives that resonate across diverse contexts. He sees each project as an opportunity to translate human needs into spaces that feel both intuitive and inspiring. His design philosophy centers on material honesty and spatial clarity, believing that the most successful environments speak a universal language while honoring local traditions. His process begins with deep listening—to clients, to communities, to the site itself—before crafting solutions that balance boldness with subtlety.
 
Under his leadership, RIOS’ Shanghai office is working on notable projects including Southlinks Estate Clubhouse, 1.4-hectare amenity hub that anchors a gated residential community in South Metro Manila.
