Leyuan is Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and Founding Partner of JIXU Architects. With a background at globally acclaimed design firms, he has spearheaded iconic urban, architectural and interior projects. Leyuan holds a Master’s degree from Design Research Laboratory (AADRL) at the AA School of Architecture.
His research is at the forefront of integrating advanced technologies—encompassing computational design, digital fabrication, and mixed reality—to redefine the boundaries of spatial innovation. Leyuan has published papers on topics such as robotic and augmented fabrication, digital tectonics, and space architecture. He also serves as a reviewer for prestigious international academic conferences.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Leyuan has led multiple international workshops, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among emerging architects. His work has been showcased in prominent venues, museums, and conferences, reflecting his commitment to pushing the envelope of architectural practice.
