"Re: Materialize," a materials aesthetics trend exhibition, aims to advocate for a return to material-oriented thinking at the early stages of design, emphasizing the forward-thinking concept of "material-driven design." By re-examining and innovatively utilizing materials, the exhibition encourages designers to focus on the essence and potential of materials during the creative process, fostering sustainable and imaginative design practices.
Jointly initiated by Rong Design Library and Design Shenzhen, the exhibition invites interdisciplinary artists, designers, and material producers from various fields to create material-centric works inspired by the two main themes, Consumer Technology and Luxury Home Design. The scope spans traditional handcrafted materials, architectural and interior materials, soft furnishings, fashion fabrics, sustainable materials, and industrial materials.
